Grocery store chain Giant Eagle is one of the early adopters of Voice Technology in the DC.

In this excellent Videocast, Giant Eagle's Ray Hindman will share the Voice lessons they have learned after using the technology for almost a decade, and how it is moving from a picking-centric deployment to other areas of the DC using a new approach the greatly simplifies the technical effort to do so.

For example, one barrier some companies have to using voice is they have major IT staffing constraints. A new enterprise connector in Vocollect VoiceExpress solves this issue. This session highlights the experience of customer Giant Eagle, one of the nation’s largest multi-format food and fuel retailers. You’ll learn how Giant Eagle applied the VoiceExpress enterprise connector with the company’s existing Vocollect Voice configuration in the put-to-store workflow. Gain an insider’s perspective of the experience and key learnings from the Supply Chain Business Process Consultant on the implementation.

	Ray Hindman Supply Chain Business Process Consultant, Giant Eagle Ray Hindman is Supply Chain Business Process Consultant at Giant Eagle. Giant Eagle is one of the nation’s largest multi-format food and fuel retailers, with annual sales of approximately $9.3 billion. Ray joined Giant Eagle in 1997. In his current role, Ray has responsibility for supply chain IT strategy and budgeting, as well as being a key liaison between business and IT for business process improvement efforts. Ray was a key player on the Giant Eagle’s VoiceExpress pilot project and today he is here to tell us about his experience and observations.
