Abstract:

In 2013, Dr. David Simchi-Levi of OPS Rules and MIT introduced his breakthrough Risk Exposure Index for quantifying supply chain risk during a Videocast on our Supply Chain Television Channel.

In 2014, another exclusive SCTV Videocast focused on how auto giant Ford had used the REI methodology to dramatically improve its approach to supply chain risk management.

Here in 2015,Simchi-Levi has taken the REI thinking to new levels with what we might call REI 3.0, which significantly expands the model's scope.

In addition, Simchi-Levi will detail how Ford has adopted this expanded approach and now uses REI not only for strategic risk management but also for tactical and operational risk management as well. It's quite a story.
